there is a possible bug with silence and hourglass. during this aram game I played soraka. In the game a veigar hourglassed and I threw my silence down 1 second before his hourglass ran out. and after he came out, while my silence was still active he was able to use his ult. other times when I have used silence on an hourglass it was an insta silence. they weren't able to case abilities or anything.

This is a long-standing issue with Equinox's tick rate being too slow to apply the silence after an enemy leaves stasis or an untargetable effect like Fizz's E or Vlad's W.

Currently Equinox looks for champions within its radius roughly 4 times per second (as it has been explained to me) which gives a very small window to use abilities even while within it. This is nearly impossible to exploit normally but you can buffer a skill (like Veigar's ult or flash) while in stasis and it will still go through.

The way I figure this can be fixed is to have a champion trying to buffer a skill from stasis or teleport or any untargetable effect first check if Equinox is underfoot and cancel the spell if it is.

Short Version: Equinox looks for champions too slowly to work against stasis.
