If Twisted Fate teleports away before Veigar's ult hits then it will dissapear, doing not damage and putting the ability on full cooldown.

Start the destiny cast as TF
Have veigar ult before you teleport
Veigar's ult will do nothing

This holds true for almost any targeted ability that has travel time and any spell that makes you travel long distances. If you teleport to the opposite side of the map with any champion at all it will happen.

If I am not mistaken, Yi can do the same thing. Wouldn't that also be true of a Zhonyas hourglass? Caitlyn 's ult goes on full CD if she shoots and the target is slain/recalled/zhonyas/untargetable at the time of impact.
