[Gameplay] - Smite and Overlay problem

Hey Hey, everyone. My first bug report, and I haven't taken the time to read some others yet, so I'll come back and edit this after a second when I've had the time to see the accepted format. for the time, betting the bug on paper and the times correct is the Priority.

I'm playing a custom game as we speak, (1 player+4 bots) v 5 bots.: NA server; 5:24 AM ET; Champion is Warwick. I have encountered a bug relating to Smite and its corresponding visual overlay. When Smite is used in the second summoner spell position (normal key F), the shaded overlay for the summoner spell that slowly circles the summoner spell box renders instead a full square shaded box is seen on the overlay. In addition, the Full square shaded box lasts for the entire duration of the spell. A third and simultaneous issue is that this full square shaded box then produces two blue lines that run to the top left corner of the game window and waht appears to be the left foot of Champion Warwick. (upon review, this point is not the left foot of champion warwick, but rather a location close to the center of the screen near his left foot when the camera is centered on him).

This is the case for regular shaded smite (read: no hunter's machete upgrades) and the Purple Ranger's Traiblazer smite (though the lines are colored red). If the game allows, I'll test the bug on the other three jungler items, and report accordingly.

The Poacher's Knife smite produces the same issue, with poacher knife colored lines. The Stalker's Blade produces the same effect with the Stalker's Blade smite colors The Skirmisher's Sabre produces a similar effect, but the lines are purple.

Lines are rendered 6-8 times a second, and do not show up to the center of the screen all of the time. (I am not skilled enough to discern the pattern as to how these lines show up, though).

For the record, Other summoner spell Ghost is unaffected by this bug (normal key D) .

I've made programs before, and I know it can be difficult to debug them. My suggestions from the observation are that the code seems to be trying to render the shaded box for the smite cooldown along some sort of absolute positioning method (hence the lines that go to the same location in each iteration of the smite spell). or it may possibly be related to the interaction between the spell visual timer and the damage counter number for the smite spell.

Anyways, that's all I can think of. I've tried to be thorough, the bug occurs on multiple camps, on both "sides" of the river. Hope it doesn't show up regularly, or that it is an easy fix.

Uh... for anyone programmer reviewing this, I feel so bad for the abuse you put up with from so many of the other people on this forum. Sincerely, though. After reviewing other posts to try to find the appropriate format, I have to say keep your head up. I enjoy the direction the game is going and want to be supportive.

You're description would be better with visual so if you could record the glitch I'm sure they'd be able to work with it better seeing it.

Right. I agree. but I don't know how to do that off hand as I don't have a video capture card.
