Bug Reporting Sytem? How does it work? Does it work.
Dunno how riot handles bugs. Tried posting here. out of all the threads in here the limited riot personnel to read these, and then to pick and choose which ones to focus on. (needle in a haystack in a hayfield) The odds of a given post being seen seem poor, the odds of something being done about it even more poor (by the very nature of how a board works especially with the number of people who post.)
I've tried the ticket method system though and I haven't got clear idea how internally bugs go from being reported to whatever happens if something does. My ticket was just closed as 'solved' yet I wasn't given an idea what that means. Does the bug enter a seperate ticket system. Or is the bug reported essentially ignored now that the support ticket is/was closed due to a lack of thoughtful support system bug reporting design.
I've had a bug reported before get fixed. Was an item store bug when item store was overhauled. Once a person did what was necessary to create the problem and then figure how to do it again you could do it at will (only way I knew it was fixed and when). Took a bunch of back and forth. Think it must have been directly made aware to a developer and fixed. Because it was relatively quick, wasn't made aware to me that it was fixed and Not sure if it was ever noted in any patch notes as having existed or been fixed.
But if I want to report and have some idea that wheels are turning on a bug about a champion. The fear bug has existed forever.... I wouldn't think i'd need to make a person aware for someone to have been aware by now. There is a 2011 board note about it, and if a person would want to search there are prob notes about it existing since beginning of time.
Is there a seperate bug report ticket system where a bug that is mentioned in a support ticket or on here gets noted and entered, so that its at least in a queue even if its a big queue that gets emptied slowly over many years? Because reporting bugs through support ticket just ends up with them needing to close their tickets. And my ticket was closed. Posting it on here is a hail mary and anyone that doesn't understand that just doesn't understand rules of large numbers.
Can someone (from riot) tell me if you have a seperate bug report ticketing system where bugs get noted; after they are entered into a traditional support ticket and closed; and/or after being seen by someone on here who works in an appropriate internal department? So they are in a queue to potentially be researched and/or fixed at some point in time?
Or does someone have to grab the eye of a developer by sure luck on here, or just get lucky that a support person contacts a dev more directly perhaps on a high value champion like a new release and get a fix up front; the failure of either to happen means unlikely anything will happen?
