Distorted PVP.net client and Freezing at 100%

Windows just updated, and when it finally finished, I tried logging on.

When I did finally get logged in, the contents of the PVP.bet client were squashed ito half the normal height.

I felt I could deal with that, and queued up for a game. Following the advice I got from Targon's Blade, I waited until all the portraits loaded.

When all the players were listed as 100%, the game froze. And the computer froze. Even the mouse froze. So, the only thing left that I could do was turn the damn thing off and back on again, and hope I could get logged back in before my team types "/remake".

(Unfortunately, I didn't, and got myself another LeaverBuster.)

Any idea why Windows updating would cause crashing?
