Mac Client does not open

The other day I was on a slow internet connection and may have exited in the middle of an update. I have since been unable to open the league of legends client at all. The process starts, then exits, and nothing opens the whole time.

I have restarted my computer, I have reinstalled league of legends (a couple times). I even tried that hextech repair tool. Nothing has worked so far. Any one else having this issue?

I am so happy that you posted this. I was having the exact same issue. I reinstalled it so many times and restarted my computer I was so frustrated!!!! YOU SAVED ME!!!!!!!!! Solved this... uninstalled the app from my computer... went and found any remaining files that were league related... found a couple folders in a shared space that were Riot Client and Riot Games... deleted any folders / files i found that looked like they related to Riot or League of Legends... Re-installed and it worked.

Also i ended up updating my OS to Catalina 10.15.1 and was still able to do the install.

but it does look like it's using the old login page not the new riot one anymore

Been having this problem for about 3 weeks now. Every time I try to log in I either get a black screen, or a message telling me it is trying to reconnect. Sometimes I can even use the chat bar but it won't let me enter games. There have been times when it just won't open at all, and I discovered through using activity monitor that there were instances of league running in the background, some of them not responding. If I keep ending these processes and keep trying to log in I will eventually be able to play, but its a lot of hassle. It seems to me that after recent updates RIOT hasn't removed some of the old files to lets the new ones work, but I have no idea which ones to delete or how to fix it. Please someone do something about this soon
