PSA: Rioters wanted to fix bugs!

Do you play league on a daily basis and find trash code in ever champion you see. Is spaghetti code something you eat for dinner? We want YOU to complain loudly to Riot that they don't pay enough attention to their code base. When you find an ult that does no damage after death (rumble), or a death screen that is just plain funny ever time, or even a champion that has a hidden exploit that lets the animation cancel and the damage to go through (riven), you can be assured that someone at Riot has not even bothered to take a look. That's why we need you, so step up!

But cool it with the posts flaming riot for their "trash client, system, etc." They want bug reports, not flame. So give a detailed report of what happened and when and enjoy the rest of your day. :)

Shall I give you a list of bugs I've sent in and gotten no reply. I've even been banned for pointing out flaws in their board website. They just don't care at all. Most of my posts with bugs have been deleted die to "inappropriate comments about our game". They can't even take criticism.

That's interesting, I've reported a few bugs and none of my posts have been deleted. I've also pointed out flaws and made suggestions, yet I've never been banned. Perhaps it's just you?

By now they would have deleted this post. because you're on it they didn't I guess. Still, nobody at Riot who makes a difference there reads their own boards. It's really depressing.

I thought you were making a legitimate psa to encourage people to report bugs. You're giving me too much credit, man. As someone who has tried coding before, bug reports do help a lot. And I'm willing to bet money your bug reports were noticed.

So in general keep it up, report stuff that goes wrong and be kind :)

Anyways, I currently work on software bugs for an old company and I know first hand that reproducibility is key to even accepting any bugs. However, we keep a log of complaints which I can't verify Riot does at all. In fact, their brusqueness indicates a general lack of awareness in an underlying lack of confidence with Riot's ability to manage their code.

Anyways, imma keep adding to their boards until they forget to up their server space. Happy hunting.

You're right. I think riot should pay more attention to their users that find or look for bugs, but just because we can't see their reactions doesn't mean those reactions don't exist.

too many bugs already posted, and 0 riot responses, unless it's about cosmetic skins, I think they are afraid of already 2 yearbacklash rcvd for lack of updates or insightful responses on alreayd existing bugs from 2009

Just because riot hasn't replied to a post doesn't mean it's not noted. I'm sure that riot takes bugs very seriously. Sometimes it's hard to comment on a bug-post because riot might not even know what the problem really is, let alone how to fix it.

Remember that time they shut down ranked for a day or two because of a bug? If you don't, just google "ranked shut down 24 hours for bug," I'm sure you'll see it. Remember how riot released a statement talking about all the work they went through to fix the issue? I think this fiasco showed how seriously riot takes bugs because, frankly, bugs are expensive.

It's important to report bugs because each and every report will add up to make this game better.
