Are the free champs unbuyable?

I've noticed that Blitzcrank it's on the free champ rotation and even if I want unlock him with IP points the button is grey. I don't know if this issue is related to the new client. But I think it's kinda bad because even if I win an ARAM match using Blitzcrank I won't get any chest/keys

You can't buy through the profile yet, you need to go through the store. The ARAM key thing is supposedly a bug; it's just not near the top of their priorities list to fix.
