Client Bug?

While in champ select, the counter will go to 0 on someone, and the my client will freeze. However, it keeps going for everyone else until it gets to me, and i dont lock in causing me to get kicked for failing to select a champ. Sometimes, it will reconnect and i'll be caught back up to speed instantly, but its erratic.
