Lost Skin?

A long time ago, probably years, a friend mystery gifted me zombie ryze skin. I know this happened because I remember thinking "damn, I never play ryze, too bad it wasn't zombie brand, i really like that skin." And I really never do play ryze, so I never actually wore this skin. So just now I checked out ryze and saw that the skin was still locked for me. Is it possible for a friend to refund a gift or something? Or is it a bug? Because I should have this skin.
