Gamebreaking bug in ranked, unable to cast spells, convoluted fix

In the ranked game I just lost I encountered a bug where I couldn't cast any of my spells at all. the range indicator appeared but the spell did not cast. I'm not sure how the bug happened but I assume it had something to do with dying mid spell cast. It was fixed but not sure which method actually worked.

First I restored defaults on my keybindings Second I died to a tower Third I closed league and it's client and re-opened

And then it was fixed

Is there a way to get loss prevented for this? because that bug completely took me out of the game and I was unable to participate for at least 5 or 6 minutes
