Darius Q ignores Fear from Fiddlesticks

Darius uses Q, I Quickly use Fear as Fiddlesticks . Darius slowly walks away still winding his Q hitting me still while feared...Slowly running from me.

Is Darius somewhat immune to cc while he is using his Q? Or is this a bug?

It's not a channel, if he gets CC'd his Q still goes off, the same way Fiddle's ult stays even when you use Zhonya's or get suppressed.
