Huge champion select bug

While in champion select the enemy team had first picked (ranked), when it came our turn to pick neither myself nor our other second pick were able to select a champion. As you can see in the pictures attached it said it wasn't even my turn to pick a champion. The opposing team locked in and it highlighted our team but still said it was their turn to pick according to the timer, but when the timer ran out I was penalized with a loss for not picking a champion. Idk about you guys but this seems massively unfair, considering I am in promo to gold. At this point I'm afraid to even attempt to play ranked because if I get screwed over again that's failed promotion.
