Free elixer

Im not sure if this is only on bard or if it affects all champs but occasionally when i go to buy an item i notice a little while later that i have an Elixer Of Iron in my inventory that i did not buy, nor did it cost me any gold apparently, this has happened twice and i currently have no idea how to replicate this bug.
