[Client] Client won't complete update; remains stuck on updating screen

It was working just fine last night, and I came home to a launcher unable to update. It just stays on that screen forever. I was really excited for URF, and now I'm just plain disappointed. Picture Steps I have taken to fix it:

  1. Restart the client
  2. Uninstall and reinstall League of Legends
  3. Update my graphics drivers
  4. Update .NET Frameworks 3.5 and 4.0
  5. Update and restart my computer

Please help me. I only have so much time in a day to play, and it looks like I don't get to play at all today. That is incredibly frustrating, as you can probably imagine. I've had a very similar error which fixed itself for no reason a couple weeks back, which multiple people also had, right here. The difference now is that I can't get in at all.

EDIT: After close to 7 hours of troubleshooting every single possibility I could devise, we discovered the issue was due to MyCircle (A Disney owned internet restriction service), the pings to the update servers were throttled. After resetting the part of the router that ran MyCircle, the problem INSTANTLY resolved, and is now functioning properly. I'm incredibly disappointed in this service, as its functions aren't even supposed to effect my own usage. Hopefully everyone else reading this is having the same issue and can identify this to be their kryptonite (since it's an easy fix) On that note, I think it may be a good idea in the future for troubleshooting articles to recommend a router restart, as I didn't see that once despite many hours of troubleshooting. I'm kicking myself for not thinking of it myself, but now this is no longer an issue. You live and you learn.

Bump. Same thing. No issues yesterday, can't even get to login screen today.

I've had the same issue since the newest patch and recently realized that my computer hadn't properly updated to Windows 10. The way I solved it was by opening the settings on my computer, going to the update and security section, and clicking "check for updates". For some reason my computer hadn't properly updated to Windows 10 and when I did (I also uninstalled and reinstalled LoL) League has been working again

Same here. Can't even try logging in before it gives me a "try again" notification and a black screen. Was working fine last night :/ hope it gets fixed soon.
