Champions Dying In Kindred ult

So recently I just played a game with 6 knights, draven, and kindred. The enemy had two gunslinger, 6 brawler (with a three star jinx I might add). Really close match, kindred ults so I win for sure because draven, kindred and another knight were in kindred ult, the enemy only had his jinx left half hp. Yet jinx killed both draven and the knight in kindred ult????
