Play button under Orb of Enlightenment disabled?

Use to press the PLAY button from this area, now it is disabled. Was this on purpose to keep it specific to the orbs now?

Same. Game is unplayable because it won't let me Play.

Click the big play button on the top left of the screen like you're going to play a normal game of LoL, but instead of playing the normal game modes you can see TFT is now an option far to the right with Normal and Ranked as a selection.
