Why I keep leaving league (AND why I keep coming back)

So over the last couple months I've been putting league down for weeks picking it up for a day or two, than putting it back down again. I think for me that this is because I feel like I'm never getting better. Games are routinely (60-70%) blowouts one way or the other with an ff@20. Getting stomped or stomping does not make you feel like your getting better. Major leaguer's would destroy a high school team and I doubt anyone learned a lot from that disparity. But even on games when its close I still don't feel like there's an improvement. My dmg may be higher or lower, my cs may be higher or lower, my tanking (dmg taken) may be higher or lower. There's no concrete way to know what you did that was better; why this close game went in your favor when the last one didn't.

why I think getting better is important: Getting better in a multiplayer game is why people play over a long period of time. Individual games may be fun, but if your looking for diverting entertainment there are better options. League is different because you can improve, notice a play you did better, or a decision that helped a play later happen.

Why I keep coming back League is fun DUH!!!

My idea: Practice leagues. Let's organize groups of players who feel like there skill levels are similar and let them play against each other. Than let's review the games and talk about what went right and what didn't.

tl;dr I need people to practice against cause I like playing league but I get bored with stagnant improvement.

I also feel like I have barely improved, no matter how often I win lane I always lose the game, in S5 I managed to get toSilver and now I have not even succeded in that after 3 tries. I am really good in lane but I lose because I must be doing something wrong when team phase starts and I don't know what it is.

I do feel that improving is not the be all and end all because I still enjoy the game.

League is competitive.

So much so at this time that it has spread outside of ranked. In URF you can rarely pick " fun " champions, because the stronger ones will outshine and outscale. Even in normals you have people practicing the meta champions.

I completely agree that league is a game where things are favored to the players who take it a little more seriously. Because the skill ceiling is a thing and it's high from the POV of the average players level ( imo Gold 5 )

Winning is just better to its counter part, losing.
