Looking for ADC coaching

Violent Hunter··1 votes·831 views

I know i'm asking alot but if there is any high elo players that could coach me at being a better adc for free I'd appreciate it. I just got demoted to Bronze 4 for the second time before that I got to bronze two. Before the first trip to bronze 4 I started silver 4 and then dropped. I'm at a point where I feel lost and now I want to reach out for help. I'm eager to learn and can take criticism.

I main Lucian, Vayne , Corki, and Sivir.

I'm often busy and I'm not that of a rank (gold 5), but if you want, I could watch one of your games. I don't really play corki and sivir, but I know Lucian and vayne a bit better.

you can add me and ask if you see me on: hh the thinker

If you ever wanted a ADC coach, you can trust me. I am a gold 5 adc main. One of the top 5 Vayne's in gold elo. Your Vayne will improve vastly with my help, and your ADC in general.

Idk if you still need a coach or not, but I'll help you out if you want to! I can play support for you and see what we could work on from there! Regardless best of luck!

I just got demoted to Bronze 4 for the second time before that I got to bronze two. Before the first trip to bronze 4 I started silver 4 and then dropped. I main Lucian, Vayne , Corki, and Sivir.

  1. Pick 3 different types of ADC's: A hypercarry, a strong mid-game team fight ADC, and a lane bully. I personally go Ashe/Corki/Draven atm and don't run the lane bully comp much, but it's whatever works for you. My least favorite lane bully is Caitlyn, i don't think she really teaches you mechanics you can use on many other champions other than herself and she is particularly weak right now....and personally i don't recommend Kalista based on the high skill cap of positioning while moving.

  2. Take it to customer 1v0 games, go to lane with your 3 champions, and work on CS'ing the waves with no lane pressure. Given your CS scores, i think even with a more up tempo game in bronze you are still missing out on CS that is free to you. Making the most of the first 6 or 7 waves is particularly critical. Work on last hitting all 6 of the first wave. If you have a support willing to work with you as a duo, work on setting up minions better, and work on keeping the lane in a neutral position while killing the first 3 melee minions of the 2nd wave (9 minions, 6 melee and 3 ranged, should level you up and give you an advantage on a level 2 engage should you desire it in a matchup). I went ahead and practices farming without a starting item as well, as i felt it would force me to pay better attention to attack patterns of minions, increasing the amount of blank shots per wave (aka when range minions wind up and cast their bullets) and increasing my ability to 'freeze' a lane with higher CS success.

  3. When you have all 3 hitting all but one out of each wave, you probably have enough of a mechanical grasp of the champion, and should go ahead and upgrade to 5v5 vs bots (still custom). This will allow the 2v2 in the bottom lane, which should help you at least feel some pressure to CS (although, they are still pretty mediocre). You should be able to efficiently farm with minimal lane pressure against you, and when you have it at the same level as the 1v0 custom game you should be ready to take it to normals or team builder. Once you feel like your practice has improved your CS then you can move onto something other than CS to work on.

Additional Areas you can work on without a coach are below

  • Understand the timing of when your opposing ADC is likely to attempt to gain some CS. If it's a favorable lane matchup for you, you can increase your lane lead over the opposing ADC by reducing him to a rate of 3-4 CS per wave rather than 5-6. This isn't as important as your own CS, as you'll fall behind other lanes if your own CS'ing isn't quality. There are going to be varying levels of kill opportunities from game to game in laning phase, but there are only a certain amount of opposing minions that come walking out of base each wave.

  • Do not build the same buildpath each game with a given champion. A lot of what you build as an ADC has to be productive towards the removal of the front line structure of the other team, as that's the closest thing that you'll have to hit. If they are stacking health, build appropriately to take large chunks of health via critical or Bork active rather than building last whisper early. If you have the lead and can snowball, build to enable you to snowball uncontrollably to finish off the opponent. If you are behind, prioritize items that can give you a damage spike faster to allow yourself a better opportunity to recover.

  • Positioning is key, especially if you eventually venture into ranked 5's with buddies or a random team. I wasn't wanted anywhere when i first played ranked 5's as a 1040 elo player. I'm not that much higher ELO soloq wise because of a lack of interest in playing ranked solo/duo, but rather than shuffling through 3-4 ranked teams a month i've been on two teams the last season and a half, and have been partially responsible for 4 promotions (5 if i promote my current group of friends by winning Bronze I promos).

I know you were looking for a coach or a support rather than a how-to on how to improve on your own, but i think this could also be relatively helpful to other players who find themselves stuck where you currently are.

I'm plat 4 atm, not diamond but it's more or less mechanics that hold me back and not so much game knowledge. Add me if you want me to spectate you during a game and msg you any pointers I can think of during the game, that's about as much as I can offer. I'm also not an ADC main, but my most played champ this season was an AD, and I had over 90% winrate on them (Jinx) and 100% winrate on my second most played AD (MF) so I should still be able to help, just not as much as a Diamond + AD main would...
