I want to get better at PvP

I really like playing League but I get really discouraged because I am not that good, or I get with a team of random people who can't work together to save their lives. Does anyone have any tips of how to get better? I have been playing for about four years now and I am level 24 (which doesn't mean anything to me). I just play to play and get better. If anyone needs another person or want to team up on League, feel free to add me and invite me my username is Notorious13, I'll take any help I can get. I just don't want to suck on pvp anymore.

The only other thing I can offer you that helped me out was doing a crap ton of arams. That taught me a lot about team fights and team comps and exposed me to fighting a variety of different champs. Since aram is basically one game compacted to one lane team fighting becomes standard and you get good at it quick. Good luck on the rift and your quest to get better!
