I like Aram, but mostly because it's all about the team fighting. I think it would be pretty cool to have a game mode where you choose your own champions in the Howling Abyss, rather than be stuck with whatever you get.

A non-random ARAM would not be about team fighting at all. It would be about who can poke harder and heal faster.
The only way to do this without seeing the same champions every game would be to have a draft pick with bans, and even then there would be similar champions most games. The randomness is whats fun about ARAM. I want an all-random mode on Summoner's Rift

There are customs but I agree it just makes sense to have a "teamfight mode" thats not random.
Just bring back the Poro King mode. I actually like that mode.
It would be the same picks every game and would quickly stagnate. Without the laning phase and the ability to do things like splitpushing or making surprise ganks it's too easy to make teams with no real weaknesses.
A non-random ARAM would just be an AM. What a lame name. :P
On a serious note though, you can have your non-random howling abyss games. For years we just played ARAM on SR with our own rules in custom games. Then ARAB evolved when dominion came out. Then finally, they let us use the tutorial map, before eventually making it into the aram map you know now.
If you just want to play all mid, then get up a custom game for it. You could do ADAM (All Draft All Mid) or ABAM (All Blind All Mid). If people want to play it then they'll be there in the custom games.
There is a non-random ARAM. It's called ARAM. Just unlock all of the OP champs and never worry about actually struggling in a match.
My favorite thing is when people say that if we could pick our champs every game would be full of poke, as if that isn't exactly what every ARAM game is full of right now. lol
Because that doesn't make any sense. The term "ARAM" is an acronym for ALL RANDOM ALL MID. Plus, you can do that easily yourself by making a custom match and changing the settings.
