I'm confused. What's Dominion?

I'm honestly puzzled that some folks think this is a bad thing.

The score system rewards people for standing around on points like a 'tard.

It's about as bright as standing on an enemy ward and doing nothing over in Rift.

Seriously, the score system is awful. It needs to go away forever.

I hate to be optimistic but they probably "forgot" about it on purpose.

Well in reality they probably were just maintaining the status qou of putting as little effort into Dominion as possible, and it was easier to not include personal score than to carry it over.

Either way, good fucking riddance.

Lots of people noticed it, and pretty much everyone that I've talked to think hiding it was a good idea. We've been asking for the score system to be removed for years, and this is a step in the right direction. The reason the score system is still there is because it's hard-programmed into the map, for some reason, so it's hard for Riot to remove it.

Stop complaining. This is a GOOD thing. Riot would never do a good thing on purpose, but they managed to accidentally fix this one. Score is the worst thing to ever exist. It's entirely misleading, "rewarding" people for game-losing behavior. It's the biggest noobtrap and barrier of entry to Dominion. We've been asking for years to have it removed, and FINALLY it's no longer on the scoreboard to distract people. We need it removed further, hiding the popups when you earn points and wiping it off the end game recap.

As someone who loves dominion [and man do i wish i didn't :( ] and plays on the PBE i can tell you that nobody plays dominion on PBE..at all....like i gave up after a 1 hour of wait time. Twisted treeline is the same but at lease during the maps update you could get 5 other people to join a custom game for "spooky buff" testing. Even then it took over 15 mins to find 5 other people for twisted treeline.

Sorry to say this but no changes done to dominion will ever be tested on the PBE before launch UNLESS its some huge major overall.... actually even then i doubt it.

they also didn't notice that their new item brought wards to 3v3, what did you thought would happen this time?

There used to be quite a few more Dominion players, but Riot has basically ignored the map to death through their lack of support.

The fact that bot have been driving away new players for years now doesn't help.

Is it bad that I lost it reading this? I laughed for a good minute, and I'm still chuckling.

Dominion and TT are like Yorick: most of the community (and Riot, I'm sure) forgets they exist

You could ping a bot to get your hidden Dominion ELO, but Riot removed that ability with the Lulu patch. It caused a lot of more serious players to leave because they couldn't track their progress anymore.

I noticed. I only play custom full bot games on dominion if I want to dick around a bit, but I still noticed.

Does it affect anything, by the way? I'm curious if it does, because I didn't think it did. Obviously it's a way to see how well you did without using KDA, but is there anything besides that?

Riot 1: "hey guys... remember that domination or whatever gamemode we made a while ago? I think we forgot about it for the HUD"

I don't think real people play dominion. My buddy and I decided to play it the other day and all three teammates were bots. I guess bots aren't in the PBE to let league know it can't see the scores :)

Is Dominion another one of those things like those 'gurls'?
