how come riot takes out u.r.f when there's a lot of people that likes to have fun or just not play competitively? Also, how come why won't they just open every game mode so everyone can have fun

Each game mode as its own drain on resources - things like balance changes (TT and Dominion get their own periodic updates, though less frequently than SR) so each "permanent" game mode increases the work load on Riot's side. And the longer the "crazier" game modes are open, the more whining and bitching there is when someone finds out how to break them. There is a TON of work that goes into trying to balance the main modes, and eventually keeping the other modes open would demand this kind of commitment.

Basically, look at how much whining there is on the boards about URF as it is, and consider how much work it would be to be updating/balancing half a dozen different game modes at all times.

Think about it like this:

You're in gym class and your class and it's basketball day. People play basketball like normal and have fun. This is like how it is now.

Alternatively they could open up the supplies and each person can pick whatever they wanted. Sounds great, until you realize that some of the less popular games (modes) have maybe 2 or 3 people and it's just not fun. Translated to league terms that's 10-20 min que times and seeing the same people often.

That and you have to maintain all those modes constantly, some may even need to have separate balancing to compensate for unintended nerfs/buffs from standard balancing.

each mode would be too diluted

League would be too boring & out of balance if game modes are to be kept permanent.
