Team Builder Queue Time

I play Team Builder mostly and I just go Blind or maybe Draft if I want to play mid or top. Jungle, ADC, and Support have really short queue times you should get a game in under a minute.

Have you left any games recently? DC'd or otherwise, including queue dodging?

I personally did team builder only a few times, and hated it. I found it was either people who've never played a champ/role trying to guarantee themselves their spot, or people who were trying to hit a skill ceiling with their main, guaranteeing their spot. The results were lopsided matches.

So I bailed on team builder, and I'm not going back. IDK if other people have other reasons for not playing team builder, but I think team builder looked GREAT on paper, and people who SHOULD be going into bot games to first-try champs instead went into TB and ruined it for me. =\

I noticed that if I didn't play a champion or role that's highly sought-after, the wait times were a lot longer. Like when I play Vayne top, the wait time was a lot longer, so I just created a game on TeamBuilder and had people join mine instead of looking for a team.

I find the problem being in two areas: Nostalgia, and the first time TB was launched.

Everyone is so used to Blind Pick it's created some nostalgia among LoL players. Blind Pick was the go-to place for normal PvP matches, and now there's another pre-game lobby mode introduced. People just didn't want to make the switch over to team builder.

Honestly I fell into team builder on accident because I thought it was blind pick (replaced it's spot on the list). It's launch really wasn't promoted enough, and therefore it lacked in popularity from the start. Because of this, it already had some long wait times, inferior to Blind Pick, and so people just got turned off from it after that.

The short queue times for bot lane and jungle are obnoxiously shorter than that of top and mid lane. I've waited 10 minutes to find a group for mid lane, that I later left because I had to wait another 10 minutes to find a support and adc.

If TB was encouraged, and more promoted, it would definitely increase use. It had a burst in popularity due to the new map and it was the first game mode to have it, but that's all that I've seen since it's launch.
