Why not Runeterra Online

League of Legends is a moba with a ton of lore behind it, but it is rarely seen or heard. So I was thinking why doesn't Riot take their lore, their world and use it to make an MMORPG with similarities to League.

I'd love to see an open world of Runeterra with character being able to customize your own character from one of the many in game races such as humans, yordles, even monsters like Tahm Kench and void creatures like Cho'gath and Rek'sai. It could use levels like league and use items in the same way to raise stats and unlock new abilities. For abilities they would be based on race and class, the Xer'sai would start out with Rek'sai's kit and would have to keep staple abilities such as burrow but could swap other abilities with new ones, one ability could be based on Rek'sai's taunt where she rips a chunk of earth out of the ground except you throw it allowing players to customize their character to fit their playstyle. While on the other hand, humans and yordles pick classes such as tinkerer, mage, assassin, and warrior. As certain races like humans and yordles you can start somewhere in major cities like Piltover, Demacia, ect. Not all characters would be playable races, but subraces such as Ascended (Nasus, Renekton, and Azir) would be accessible through quests.

The game could run in an over the shoulder view with optional first person allowing people to see monsters face to face. The game should also be team focused but not mandatory allowing for offline single player with minion hirelings if you do need help with a boss or quest. A dungeon should fit at least 5-10 people, based on dungeon difficulty it may fit more. The only places with a large cap on players would be cities and towns which would act as community hubs. Guilds, Clans or Leagues would be the main social aspect since you'd make friends in the guild, here you could ask fellow clan members to join you or just throw an party.

Customization I'd think would be a major point since you don't want everyone to look the same, you'd have alot of customization right off the bat with skin, armor, weapons and mount customization. For the currency you'd have Gold and Riot Points, gold is earned by doing quests and killing monsters/baddies while RP is bought just like in League. RP would be used to buy extra customizables or skip grinding for rare items.

Tell me what you think in the comments bellow, you too Riot Employees. And if you have any questions because I can't word things right or you think I should've said something else tell me, I will acknowledge it.

Note: I am not telling Riot what to do, this is merely a suggestion for a possible game in the future.

I thought i'd love to play an MMO set in runeterra back in late 2013. Then the retcon came, and now everything seems so uninteresting, I'll stick to FF14 or go back to Guild Wars 2 before i play an MMO set in runeterra, because who knows when they'll retcon again because they thought of something "better".

because Riot not smart enough to make their own game and the game would suck ass and besides people choose birds eye view because it is cheap and easy to make characters/enviroments with less detail
