A suggestion for Ranked Games

Team Builder has been a boon for Normal Games in my opinion. And the catalyst for that success? The ability to choose your role. Choosing your champion may have some...interesting choices (Support Ashe? won't complain too hard, my team won that one. I was top Garen in that)...but we all have our horror stories for another discussion.

I have been very reluctant to do my ranked placement games. I am level 30, have been for over a year now. Why am I shying away so much? Ranked is intimidating to me because you can get forced into roles you may be the worst at (Jungle for me) and then have to absorb all the hate and loathing of your team all game long. Makes one not want to play at all.

I would like to suggest/propose this change to the Ranked System: Add a role selection feature prior to queuing up for all Ranked Games (Placement Games included.) That way you can go into Ranked Games in the role you feel most comfortable with and reduce the in-fighting that can happen with the draft cycle. It would also reduce the number of dodges from games. And if people are in roles that they feel comfortable in, it could lead to better teamwork and better quality game play. Your never going to be able to get of the trolls completely, or the haters and flamers. But this could severely reduce a lot of the frustrations that come along with ranked games.
