Map Skins

Hey, not sure if this idea was released already, but when I saw the PROJECT: OVERDRIVE video I couldn't stop paying attention to the environment and how amazing it looks. That led to this idea: Create map skins.

Just like there are skins for champions, create an alternate version of Summoners Rift, p.e., where the map looks hyper-futuristic, maintaining it's consistency, sharpness and edgy look. I'm not suggesting the map's architecture should change, but it's visual, make it look like a PROJECT facility, for example.

There are other ideas like the previous experiences, which were amazing, Bilgewater Bridge or an Arcade environment. Why not give summoners the choice to play in those maps? What do you guys think?

PS: I wouldn't mind to pay a slight fee to gain access to those maps/map skins in order to help funding the idea, but that's something to be solved with an opinion poll, imo.

I would LOVE that. I was thinking hte exact same thing yesterday.

Honestly, I would even settle for weather effects on SR.
Make is rain... snow.... hail.... whatever.

This isn't actually a new idea at all, Riot used to do this for Halloween and Wintertime. They were discontinued because they thought that resources could be used on something better.

I had a conversation with a friend on this recently. It'd be nice to see different skins of summoners rift, like a more urban city skin (such as Demacia, Noxus, Piltover, or Zuan). I'd prefer Demacia or Piltover to be honest, I'd like to see more of their architecture.

Also Kumungu jungle and Shurima. One because I'd like the jungle to be like an actual jungle instead of a forest. And the other because desert setting.

This is why I loved Butchers Bridge. It gave us so much of Bilgewater's character and it made me wish we could vote for which map to play in before the match. The Freljord is great and all, but it's the same place over and over. Summoners Rift somewhat gets away with it because now we don't know where it is.
