Yes Urf will start to get boring but its not meant to be played all the time. Urf for me is a game mode to just play and Relax like aram. Dominion without a doubt is the most boring game mode in league, Urf will never be as boring as Dominion. I don't see why Urf cant be a Permanent game mode. Can you give me a list of reasons why it shouldn't be permanent? thanks! :D
Helmight6 votesLet's be honest: URF will lose its luster over time and it's pointless to say otherwise. The reason its so well received whenever it pops up is BECAUSE it's not always available. If URF was a constant game mode, it'd eventually become undervalued and underplayed.
There're also the balancing and maintenance costs that Riot'd have to pay to keep it available. Even ARAM ended up with a few unique items and changes after its "official" release just to make sure it wasn't completely un-fun. If URF stuck around, Riot would have to commit to balancing it along with the other modes - which isn't really an option, given how swamped they usually are.
Just enjoy it while it's here, mate. You don't appreciate things you can do every day as much as things you can only do once in a while.

Helmight2 votesI am too, mate. I think URF is crazy fun and practically lost my mind when Riot April Fools'd it back into the game. I'll certainly miss it when it's gone, but it'll make me even more excited when it comes back next. Just play the crap out of the mode while you can :P

yellowbricks3 votesWhy can't URF stay? Because all these rank obsessed neckbeards enable riot to not care about fun. They scoff at featured game modes saying they lose their luster or whatever dribble they spout, so riot listens and creates cool game modes but just locks them all away because everyone is so worried about splitting the player base or some bs excuse. So what about TT, Dom, and ARAM? Those sure aren't splitting the player base like everyone thinks, there's a subset of people who play those modes, and they can enjoy it all the time, so it's completely ignorant for riot to string players along who don't care about the drudgery of ranked with a little taste of fun every few months.
My advice is check out Smite, that game has a variety of game modes including a rotation of different gimmick modes, one of which is like URF. This community is too populated by people who think fun is treating a game like a 9-5 job for riot to get any sort of perspective on how an actual fun game should be.

Dom received a new revive trinket during season 3 to bring in alternate gameplay and the Twisted Treeline received Buffs to the Jungle in season 5 as in you take smite and you will gain some of powers that you gain on Summoners Rift.

Besides, what warrants URF to be a permanent mode when all it is, is playing on SR with a BUFF that makes anyone OVERPOWERED? It's very small change to the gameplay that didn't take hours and hours of time to build, they didn't have to make new assets, new characters, voices, visuals... ect.

I want Urf as, like you said a game mode to just mess around in. the pros to having Urf become a permanent game mode, is that it's very fun and relaxing to play and is half the time of what a normal game would take to finish. That's why it will NEVER be permanent. The concept of "Working together" and making "strategies" doesn't exist in URF.

Only game modes that I say took them time that could even be considered staying are Poro King, Ascension and Doom Bots. At least with these modes they had to build new assets for the game to recognize.
