Replays?

I know this has been addressed over the years but why is there still no replay function? I remember Riot stating that they couldn't store replays because after each patch the previously recorded replays wouldn't work. Well, why can't we have a replay option that only allows us to view the game replay during the post game lobby? As soon as everyone leaves that lobby the replay is deleted. However, if we wanted to keep the replay on hand, manually we could download the replay onto our pc's hard drive. Because there have been several games that I've wanted to review. You know to pick up on how a certain person played a champ, where I messed up, jungle paths, ect.
