@RIOT - Will the one vs. one map "Magma" ever be released?
It's as simple as the title. Will the one vs. one map you guys created ever be released to the actual game?

From the beginning the map was meant as a turnament only map, not sure if they'll change their mind about that.
I think Riot officially said Magma chamber was canceled. They were planning on having the map be a larger version of Summoners Rift, with a section that could be paired down for 1v1's (kinda like what they did with Ascension). Snowdown showed that Howling Abyss is now what Riot considers the replacement 1v1 map.
You can 1v1 people on Howling Abyss. I'm pretty sure they cancelled Magma because DotA players beat them to the map.... like actually made it. It's bad when regular players can beat you to a punch. But anyways 1v1 is usually over within the first kill so map doesn't really matter. I 1v1ed people a lot when this game first came out, on Summoner's Rift, and have since done 1v1's on Howling Abyss... it's really no different, in that it's the snowball effect. In 5v5s it's easier to stop a snowball, but it's hard in 1v1, that's why it's a team game and not a 2D fighting game.
They did a 1v1 featured mode on Howling Abyss and they probably won't ever do one again. It was awful. Casters building full AD and dominating awful.
