About the spawn animation of Dragon and Baron

Just a quick question, I was wondering if you will be able to see the spawn animations of dragon and baron if you don't have vision of the dragon pit and baron pit. If you are on the outside wall, will you still see them fly around?

Nope, you have to have vision of the spawn point of any creature in order to see it's spawn animation. Still gotta keep those pits warded :)

Thanks for the quick reply! :)

bad grammar dude, you should have used "its". #grammarnazi

It's is the correct usage there because the spawn animation is possessive of the creature. So it should have the apostraphe.

Do you know what "it's" stands for ? (it's = "it is" or "it has") The grammarnazi was right :D

"its" is like the only exception to this rule #englishhasannoyingrules

One thing, though: If I understand this right, if dragon is dragon warded, I'll be able to see the animation 2 seconds before dragon spawns, if I'm looking, even if I don't have a timer on it, correct?

My understanding is that you can see the animation if you have vision of the pit, so yeah, I would imagine so.

an actually very nice idea would be .. to make the dragon at random times in the match if it is not respawned or yet come back from the previous encounter ..to fly above summoner's rift.. of even to only be able to see its shadow at random parts of the map as it flies.. that would be so cool and epic.. you could even make him not to appear flying near baron ..to actually hint a portray of territorial conflict with baron nashor..

Oh, that is a cool idea. With the new Baron now being a type of dragon, it would be cool to see some lore or something between the two.

Definitely wanna see some lore about this

Riot pls

I like the lore idea and everything, but don't you think that would be a little distracting in the middle of a battle? Riot wants this map to make the player stand out. Something like this could possibly be detrimental to overall battles and the game. But more lore like this would certainly be worth the read :).

I was thinking more along the lines of supplemental lore outside of the game. I agree, the main goal is to increase clarity and readability. :3

Will there be more lag when monster camps spawn?

I was watching the VOD with the game commentary and I noticed something during the Baron fight. Baron has a succession of spells that he uses every 3 auto attacks. One of the spells is a projectile that rains down in a line (like Viktor's laser or Rumble's ultimate). I noticed that it seemed to rain down in a random direction away from baron, even while nashor was attacking the tank elsewhere. Wouldn't it be more interesting if the line always stretched towards the champion holding aggro? Then you could use baron to land his skills for your team. You could have the tank rotate baron so he landed attacks over the wall at the enemy jungler awaiting the steal. Or make baron land the last hit on a fleeing champ with low hp. Just a thought.

To me it looked like baron was aiming the spell where it would hit the most champions, not just aiming it in a random direction.

it kinda bugs me that Dragon and Baron die... I mean, if in the respawn animation they come back to the pit, from wherever they were, shouldn't they leave the pit when they "die"? I personally think it would look awesome if the Dragon flew away when he "dies", and then comes back when he recovers from his injuries (6 min later). Same for Baron. Just like Vilemaw in the Twisted Treeline. Great job on the new rift, tho. its looking marvelous. cant wait to play it.
