Bot Matches seem kinda outdated...

Well, don't need to elaborate much on the title. My opinion is that Bot Matches, which are generally used to teach players the ropes of the game, are a little outdated when it comes to current strategies and such. Now, I'm not complaining about the AI itself, thats all well and good. My thing is that most competitive teams have a jungler, which seems to be absent from Bot matches. I think it would be beneficial to have characters primarily used for jungling to be used for such a purpose, and actually go out and gank players. You could leave it out for things like intro since they're just learning basic game strats, but for intermediate and beginner, I think it would be a great teaching tool to tell new players how to jungle when there's another jungler running around, and how to ward against ganking.

Another thing I would like to suggest is the possibility of having AI going after things like Baron and Dragon. As it stands right now, it kind of seems like theres no urgency to go after either, because they'll never touch it. Not so much the case in PVP. If they went after it, I feel like it would encourage the learning curve of stealing the kills and being able to kill it ASAP. I would, in my personnel opinion, introduce this concept in Intermediate since thats more of an advanced thing then just warding and dealing with junglers.

Now, I am not a coder and I am still relatively new to the game (Going on 1 month), so I don't know if I missed anything major or if this is completely impossible to code. And I'm so sorry if this is in the wrong section, I'm new to these forums (first post, really wanted to get the idea out.)

Rito's talked about it before. It's not impossible, but it is very hard. The biggest thing is getting the bots to understand basic jungle pathing and have them respond better to the possibility of enemies in their jungle. Bots currently don't really understand the difference between a "safe" path well away from the enemy and an "unsafe" one that takes them near where three missing enemies were last sighted. It's not too much of a problem for the current bots because they're almost always in lane so the shortest path works. Getting junglers to pick safe paths through contested territory and giving them effective ganking paths is a lot harder.

Having a dedicated jungler on the AI team would make jungling a lot more interesting in co-op vs AI games, that's for sure.

One of the big reasons for jungling being such an inaccesible role for newbies like myself is definatively the fact that you can't get any real "safe" practise.

It'd also make solo top a lot easier to learn doing via bots.

Although jungling would be really hard to do, it'd be good to have bots attempt to do Dragon or Baron at various points in a game, especially if they kill 3 or more enemies and perhaps make the bots roam a bit more.

And because you can have 100 kills but the bots just run into lane stand there for 5 seconds and then leave when they get low even if you have 3 hp they arent smart XD
