Ranked system

I, along with a good number of people I know personally and have met while playing, really enjoy the game and all but find it extremely frustrating trying to climb the ranked ladder. It seems that over and over again, no matter how well I play and how much I contribute, I find myself losing games and falling down the ranks when I should be moving up due to other players that feed or disconnect. While I understand that sometimes people's computers randomly run into issues and crash I don't feel like i should be penalized for the malfunction of a teammates technology. I also know that the current system is based off of MMR and is designed to help people reach their deserved rank by scaling the amounts gained and lost for winning and losing respectively based on how far an individual is from where they belong, but since this MMR is calculated using previous win-loss records which are also influenced by "feeders" and "afk's" it doesn't really help a whole lot as far as deciding in which league an individual belongs. Now I've been trying to brainstorm some way to change the ranked system so that it is accurate instead of just frustrating for us and Riot as I know for a fact it's costing you players, and by extension customers, but have only come up with a few ideas that have flaws of their own such as basing LP on KDA which would be nice but that would cause greed in players as they seek every kill for themselves which would gradually become hostility. If anyone else, especially Rioters I would definitely love to hear your input on the matter, has any good ideas I would love to hear them and I'm sure Riot would as well since everyone involved even in the slightest knows that the current system needs fixing and until it gets fixed the community will not change and Riot will not stop losing clients.

Arguments about the disconnect between MMR and LP aside, the current system is passable though. It's designed to distribute players according to their respective skill levels, and the system does that. If you belong at a certain ranking, you'll reach that ranking eventually. Given enough games played, the effect of random feeders, afkers, or disconnects become negligible while individual skill remains a major factor. Although chance occurrences may be demoralizing in the short term, in the long run, you yourself are the biggest contributor to your ranking.

tl;dr: Grind More. You'll get to where you should be eventually.
