Many of us have probably played their first Ascension game. And I'm wondering how did it go?

I didn't get ascended my first game. :c I clearly was not pro enough to get a quadra or penta, but I had a ton of run laughing around the map as Lux! :D
I went (Glacial) Malphite, because I saw my team had a bunch of squishies and I decided to follow my protective instinct. I then proceeded to stack armour and hold back their entire enemy team (they were all AD) while my team defeated Xerath.
In my subsequent matches, I swapped Malphite for Lissandra and became a low-damage, tanky CC monster.
I achieved Perfect Ascension (and got my five Ascension wins) without ascending myself even once. Teamwork OP.
First match... I had fun. I'm usually a co-op only player because I get very emotional and go on tilt faster than a carnival ride, but I wanted the pretty icons so off I go.
It all began in champ select when I got handed captain and had to ban. I never played draft or ranked before. I was like 'Crap, what do I do now?! WHO DO I BAN?' Thankfully someone else on my team (Thank you I Am Splur) had a calmer head and thawed my head after I froze up and we wound up getting the other team to ban one of our own choices for us, scoring a free ban against them. Nobody wants to deal with Akali. Tristana makes it through and is picked up by the enemy team. We later realize that, because I own every champion, the enemy team wasted all their bans on dangerous champions I don't play and nobody else owns. Score.
I picked Garen because I've always been comfortable on bruisers and I thought we might want someone tanky and annoying. As we go into the match I realize I forgot to pick my summoner spells, got 
. Whoops.
I figure out how teleporting works easily enough and it's game on. Lots of early aggression. Takes us a while to work up the nerve to go for Xerath, but finally the enemy team makes a move when we're all pretty low, except for me because Garen. A light bulb forms in my head as Xerath begins to drop. I look at the summoner spells I defaulted to. Hmm... Heal gives movement speed now, right...?
Decisive Strike. Fast.

I don't know if it quite happened like that but it was pretty awesome either way. The enemy team never really forgave me for that one... Especially not after I died, came back, and stole it off them a second time. At that point I became the primary target for everybody on the enemy team, which let our Miss Fortune score two later Ascensions pretty much uncontested. After four deaths I had my Black Cleaver and most of a Banshee's Veil, at which point their four-glass-cannon-plus-Malphite team seemed to collectively realize I had become a raid boss - I wasn't as tanky as our Mundo but I hurt a lot more. The best thing they could have done for me was kill me considering I had several thousand gold to spend! I happily spent the rest of the match chasing people down and killing them, ending Legendary with a 10-kill streak with our team scoring a perfect ascension.
I don't think my Ascension experience will ever top this first game.
I like the mode itself, but it's no wonder people don't play on that map; it's even worse for giving an unfair advantage to certain champs than Howling Abyss is.
Will play only to unlock the icons, and never again.
I had nothing special on my first match, where I was Amumu. Played with a few people who knew the mode already, so we won against an average team.
ON THE OTHER HAND. My 5th game (just now), I Ascended not once but TWICE! As Kayle.
The other team sobbed in the corner as I ran around the map with a low CD invincibility ult, cleaving everyone in half with my flaming sword.
very OP. Also shut down the enemy team and boosted my team ahead by 100 (literally.) points that the enemy never recovered from. Also locked out the enemy team from Ascending for the rest of the game, getting my Perfect icon!
Won my first game, played Rammus, did not ascend, ended the game 6/5/32. I honestly had a lot of fun rolling around and taunting people so my team would wreck them, lol (team was a bunch of try-hards, I was just running around as Rammus :D)
Honestly I think the gamemode is pretty fun, I don't know how often I will play it though because I was kind of reminded why I generally avoid normal games; people there are....less friendly....
imo its really sloppy. i have a really hard time telling what i can/cant see, the bordes on the map look like normal FoW, so i run into them not knowing why i stopped, the ascension buff actually feels like a huge debuff to non mobile champs cause people can see you 24/7 and just kill you. the very first game i played was basically my team dying 1v5/dying to xerath/asking wtf is this wtf is that wtf do i do. its way too hard to fight anyone cause the vision interrupted by bushes and walls every 2 inches.
I love this game mode, incredibly fun! Its vastly different from rift, and HA (I don't play dominion) which makes it refreshing. I wouldn't mind if this was left as a permanent mode.. Riot you did great! #happycustomer
My first game of Ascension was as... Taric. I was actually planning to go Sejuani, but in the end, I'm kinda glad I didn't. The team had good use of my heals, and whenever we didn't get the ascension on our team, the first thing to happen was a Taric stun to the face, followed by our entire team collapsing on the poor fellow. It was glorious. Fun was had, even if I never got to ascend.
Also, Taric? PENTAKILL? PFFFFT (I haven't got a single penta, ever. It makes me sad...)
Otherwise, wp Riot. 10/10 gamemode, will play more!
For plat/diamond/gold friends, they sure can't last hit for anything.
I played Xerath cause lolz! Got ascended once with a ult steal. hehe And I won!
I was the actually the FIRST ascended in my first game!!! Gotta be an icon for that right?
I was playing Dragonblade Riven, and the most I got was a double kill :/

First match? Failed... was leading the team for points though. All following matches? Straight wins. Also picked up the shut-out victory icon.
Absolutely love this mode! I've had comeback games, roflstomps (they and I both), and many tight matches. I can see this being a fantastic addition to the game with its fast pace. Teamwork is necessary, and it is rare that one champ can be unstoppable... though Fizz remains a hated enemy. I'm going to start trying out some crazy new metas for this!
My first game I played Soraka, then my second game I played Malphite. I got ascended twice as Soraka. I won both those games but it was pretty chaotic.. kills left & right, relics being camped and cancelled. It seems as though most people understand how to play the game, but there were still a few that did not understand and refused to stay til the end of it (as in, they went afk).
First game we were pretty behind in the first couple of minutes, trying to figure the game out but we caught up and won, even after one of ours went afk. Second game I believe we were down by 40 points or so, but caught up to win it. Pretty fun, requires a lot of teamwork. Would be difficult to play with randoms imo.
I once stole the Ascended with a Blitz hook.
Played with some friends for my first game. We managed to some how turn the tides and win a game I thought we were going to lose for sure. Capping points is really important.

Honestly, the match was absolutely horrid, yi and xin on the other team took turns destroying us, it wasn't any fun. Assassins rule the game mode, so your character choices are really limited if you wanna not get killed every time you teleport in

. Unfortunately, played with ragers who didn't want me getting ascension, so I ended up having to peel off for threat of feeding/reported/whatever. So no real ascension for me. But apart from that we won and I had a good time. I like this even better than URF. Crystal Scar got some love, and I remembered how much fun that map can be.
My first game, I didn't really know what to expect and picked Nasus.
Then I was politely told by my enraged teammates the level of troll I was for picking him since I would not be able to farm Q. I switched to AP masteries, but alas, that was not a good champion pick for that map.
DONGER was a beast. I would set up a turret and dissappear for a moment and have the enemy team confused. My team took advantage of this and it was a continuous cycle till i became ascended. Then i was the primary target. Ended up winning because turrets kept the enemy team from capturing relics. woot woot.
Terrible, just terrible. I was confused (and still am) on what to do.
First game didn't go so well. However, the next time I was more than prepared.
By the way, I've found that ascended 
is quite a treat. No mana costs = no problem.

Terrible, had about 300-600 ping the most of the game until like 1 minute from the end.
Terrible, considering that every time I needed to be able to move and attack I got reconnects over and over again. My ping and internet are both fine. Rito, why u do dis?

Played my first match as Nami, Ascended twice, got some doubles and triples and the Ascended dance party at the end. The pentakill came like 4 or 5 games later anyway.

So many assassins, I did support Vel, and we just got a perfect game. (But it wasn't my first game. I won that and I played the very first day. Loved it)
I had played enough games to where I had the 5 victories icon but I still wanted the coveted Perfect Ascension Icon. I ended up having to que as teemo because they banned kha'zix who I was going to play. We started into the game with a mix of champions that I really wasn't expecting much from. I was trying to be optimistic, but I didn't see this going anywhere. We had

. We grabbed the first accession and kept up the momentum throughout the early game. We were doing well and then just when I thought me might win it...my game disconnects and then crashes. I figured at this point the game was over and I would have to try yet again. Amazingly enough, I came back and our brand was still ascended. We kept playing and later tristana had ascended and then started lagging. Once again I thought we were done for after she was quickly killed while disconnected. Somehow we managed to steal the ascension multiple times by the skin of our teeth, and hold off multiple connection issues to eventually score the Perfect Ascension! Anyways, for those of you that don't have it yet, keep trying! and remember, Teamwork OP!

Was mostly behind the enemy team, but things started to turn around about 8 minutes, with my team slightly leading for about 2 minutes 16 minutes in.
The Katarina and Mordekaiser were questioning my choice of champion, but I was focused on peeling for my team, which would be why I ended up with 47 assists but the least number of points and not ascending at all. Ending up winning with an 8 point difference.
First game played Tf and won would have gotten the perfect acention but a jax stole lol
Almost had perfect.. then lost one ascension... I cried
I'm getting the feeling everyone is voting Victory just to hide the fact they lost the first time :P
