Nemesis Mode Less Than Stellar

Personally I think the mode sounded good as a concept, but in practice it bombed. Most of the time you end up with a bunch of mismatched champions, and people complaining about you giving the enemy a decent champ. The mode itself is inherently toxic with everyone trying to screw the other people over. Definitely not their best work I think.

Also the queue for it is absurdly long due to people always dropping at the last minute, just my experience.

My experience has been the exact opposite of yours. Everytime I play, the queue pops quickly (though admittedly I also duo queue it). Only once have I ever seen someone complain about giving somebody a 'decent' champ. Having a team of mismatched champions and finding a way to make it work is practically the entire point of the game mode. And personally, I've found it to be the most enjoyable game type so far.

See, what I do when I play Nemesis Draft is get with 4 other friends and we plan to either give them a "theme" (pets, Demacian, Noxian, etc) or give them a shit team comp, not what individual champs we think are bad. It's a lot more fun like that.

As a veteran player, I keep confusing the matchmaking screen to think my enemy is picking. I've already dropped out of three games so far, and I got the 2 hour penalty from failing to pick a champ for my enemies. Plz fix soon.

I love how you get punished for playing the mode a lot. Every game you enter you roll the dice to see if you lose the icon or not.

Riot doesn't seem to have any idea how their community works at all. Their thought was that people would basically reverse counter pick based on what the enemy gives them, which would make for a diverse team of champs and team comps that normally wouldn't be used. If it worked, nemesis would actually be a lot of fun and force people to try new strategies instead of just using a meta based set up.

But clearly riot is so out of touch with their player base that they actually thought people would play nemesis properly.

My issues is the AFK players after they die once. That and people not willing to swap, so lose on a powerful champion once they get it. Heck, just played as Sion Support, to keep things balanced, we lost because somehow, Karma fed an AP mid Naut.

I agree, it's a toxic mode, and I'm only playing it to see what rewards there are, poor design and people purposely trolling as they feed or AFK.
