Summoners Rift Strategic Team Map Upgrades
So I was thinking, what if you could purchase map base upgrades for your base and nexus. Like instead of the inner turrets providing a shield, it would be purchasable, and you could also purchase an upgrade for the inhibitor turrets to leave a small Damage Over Time effect. The Nexus turrets could be upgraded to deal Area Of Effect damage, and the Nexus could have a thornmail-like purchase, where the person damaging the Nexus takes a small amount of damage in return. Of course, all these purhcases would be at the expense of your own personal gain, but since they are base upgrades, they could be partially purchased by everyone on the team, or just someone with extra gold. The walls to your base would maybe reduce skillshot damage coming through them, the small gates in the wall could grant a very small radius of vision. A bunch of small strategic upgrades, varying in price and how gamechanging they would be. Outer turrets could increase the exp of minions killed under the tower, or grant + 5 health regen. very few seconds or something similar to that. Small little things to change the balance in favor of the team being pushed back or oppressed by the enemy team.
Maybe also things like global cd for jg monsters in your jg, dragon and baron being unaffected by these changes. perhaps given 10 seconds reduced spawn time. Traps would also be cool to have. A wide variety of traps like caitlyns trap and nidalees, placed like wards, so they can be spotted, but at the expense of the player and there advancement as far as items. Maybe a player is struggling with internet connection, but they can still benefit their team by buying upgrades for them.
A lot of ideas that could be possible and very game changing, or they could do almost nothing, but interesting to go over. So, that being said, what things would you find interesting to see in SR, or one of the other maps as well?
