Daily Event Modes
I was thinking it would be cool if there was daily event game-modes. It would switch things up between normal or ranked games if you're itching for something a little different. They would be very simple ideas that wouldn't take too much effort to create, so they won't take away from the actual big game-modes that come every once in awhile like URF and One For All (While also being disabled while those are active).
Here are some quick examples I thought of from the top of my head, but I'll add more as time goes on and if anyone else has any cool simple ideas: (Bold mean preferred map)
- Whole Map Vision (SR)
- All Random (SR/TT/CS)
- Theme vs Theme (Skins or Champs or Faction) (SR/TT/HA) _ You would Queue up as a Role and be randomly be placed onto either fighting themed team. Sometimes skins will be pre-determined, even if you don't own the skin. This covers a lot of possibilities are variety as it is, with obvious ones like Mecha vs Battlecast or Void vs Shurima. _
- Start with 10k Gold And Level 10 (SR/TT/HA)
- Teleport Has No CD (SR)
- Snowballs (SR)
- Permanent Red and Blue Buff (SR/TT/HA)
Really the ideas are endless if you take a map, champion, item, spell or any sort of mechanic and play with it. But using these examples it would be like "Whole Map Vision" on Monday then ending with "Permanent Red and Blue Buff" on Sunday, then repeating. But really I would expect more than just 7 of these things or at least better ones and keep a 7 day time-frame. Rewards:
Icon 1 - Play 100 Daily Event Mode Matches Icon 2 - Win 100 Daily Event Mode Matches Icon 3 - Win 500 Daily Event Mode Matches (Long-term Goal)
Icons are really the only rewards we get for the big game-modes, so this keeps it consistent I guess.
I've always wanted this in League of Legends. I know that Smite has it and Hearthstone has Tavern Brawl, so why not include something similar in my favourite game?
