Banning Champions in Hexakill Would Be Nice

Has this been talked about yet? Probably. Oh well, here goes....

In Ascension we were able to ban champions. It helped prevent games from being horribly one-sided, and maybe even very fun for some of us. Hexakill is a fun massacre-style game mode, but it doesn't have bans.

I have seen Katarina in every. Single. Game.

Obviously there's a handful of champions that are difficult to deal with on this map, but Katarina dominates every game she is in so far, unless our team just happens to have a better Katarina. The games are literally being decided by 1 champion, more or less. Just from my experience so far. Just not finding Hexakill fun at this point :\

Your choice is either focus Katarina completely and let the enemy team beat on you while she bounces around and Zhyonas, etc.... and die. Or, don't focus her, let her get resets, and die anyway.

So much for playing the game for fun, gotta build a team specifically to stop Katarina from raping face.

OH just bring CC, amazing advice. I play with gold-diamond players in these games, so I assume that we have some idea of how to play. Katarina can bounce all over the damn place (making cc difficult) and with 5 other players piling on top of your team, it can become close to impossible to kill her, and keep the rest of the team from killing you. Your choice is either focus Katarina completely and let the enemy team beat on you while she bounces around and Zhyonas, etc.... and die. Or, don't focus her, let her get resets, and die anyway. But if cc was the answer, then I'll just have to pray the game glitches and we get 6 Amumus on the team.

i'll just demand everybody play ww, malz, taric then, so it's just point-and-click cc so we can actually hit her even with her jumping around bullshit. so much for playing the game for fun, gotta build a team specifically to stop katarina from raping face.

We all know how to CC, but who the hell wants to go and use a heavy cc champ every game in what's supposed to be a fun game mode just to counter one champ?

Once again. L2P. Or better yet, stay the hell outa Hexakill.

Also, adding "LOL" and "ROFL" at the end of your posts - when there is no real reason to - only serves to make you look ridiculous.

I have been happily playing hexakill every day for the last week and will continue to do so as long as it is open.

With Kat.

If that upsets you...

Deal with it.

There are many champs that shut Kat down very easily. If you cannot be bothered with coming to a game prepared because you don't "want to" that is "your" issue not Riots.

TL;DR

If you admit that you know how to use CC but refuse to, and want to complain about getting roflstomped because you didn't use it... then yes you are less bright than you think yourself to be.

Your response and comment on my intelligence are unfounded. I never stated that I refuse to utilize cc, I stated I had no wish to be forced into using the same few champs, repeatedly, in a "fun" mode that ought to allow for gameplay with a variety of champions. I'm know others think likewise.

This is more on the lines of what you're doing. Kat players are forces people to line up into specific picks and removing the "fun" from the "fun mode". Just as Ryze was banned in URF, so should Kat be banned from Hexakill. So yea, damn you.

It's not my way or the highway as you seem to be deluded into thinking. Bans do not automatically mean you cannot play Kat - well they do if I'm the one banning.

You see, you're still going passive aggressive and around and about with your insults. I'm gonna continue be straightforward - You're annoying.

My opinion is Kat shouldn't be seen in the mode. But this is not about asking for permaban, it's about getting bans in general - b/c "rolfstomps" exists.

Janna counters Kat, one of the most abused champs of the mode, so because of the frequency of Kat, Janna has increased win rate. The same can be said for the others that are above Kat - outside of Sona, whom has the highest win rate for some reason.

BTW I have no clue what I'm getting pretty close to.

i wish riot would at least address this issue by perma-banning both kat and yi who are both extremely frustrating to deal with. yi is added because of resets and the fact that he will do 1k damage to everyone on your team while being untargetable.

Exactly, point and click CC will deal with Katarina and her ilk every time. Unfortunately now that Sion had his taken away, the number of champions that have this are limited. You might even have to settle for Taric , and that would be..

Yeah Katarina isn't OP and can be countered blah blah. But if you ask me, it's pretty stupid that you have only 3 options in Hexakill:

Pick heavy CC champion in every game.
Pick your own Katarina and try to roll your face over keyboard faster than the other Kata.
Do none of these and get completely dumpstered, if Katarina happens to be in enemy team (and she will in 9/10 games).

It is a little disgusting how good she is in this mode. I was enjoying the new Hexakill for a bit but it didn't take long for people to start spamming the easy-win champs and making every game all about them. Katarina is the worst, but Yi and Fizz are pretty bad too. Bans would be a nice addition to make sure the game isn't a matter of "Which team has the better Kat/Yi?" every match.

My first Hexakill had the one and only Fizz I've played with in it so far and he got about 50 kills, I am not making that number up, that's more than any Katarina I've seen yet ( but make no mistake Katarina is obnoxious as hell lol ).

I think a ban phase would have been a great idea. It's not that Katarina can't be dealt with (I tend to pick Lulu and whimsy the shit out of her, or exhaust and laugh) but she is just really REALLY irritating to deal with. She's doing her job, but I think she does it better than almost anyone else (minus Yi I think) due to the reset potential and the blinking escape. The only thing worse than Kat is probably a Poppy reaching full build, that is INSANE on Hexakill and people are starting to realize Poppy freaking works well there.

Play Cho'Gath.

Pay attention to her movement and think of where she might go / who she might try to kill. If she jumps into your team to ult, scream in her face OR you can point-blank Rupture her and eat her before she comes down to Zhonyas.

Also Fiddlesteeeeeeks has 2 ways of stopping her ult but he's a little less reliable due to his squishiness.

Warwick Save ult for team fight when she is in range jump on her. Grab Wits end first time if vs heavy AP, not only does the attack speed help along with magic resist but 42 magic damage per attack works with WW ult. Found that out while wanting to try him out. Kat was wrecking us. So i basically wanted to end it and WW can. And honestly is OP in Hexakill, after poking before team fight his E makes finding low champs easy.

EDIT: Also if you really want to only Focus Kat or high burst AP champ that is wrecking item 3156 Helps your ult damage wise and saves you if the passive is up if insta bursted.

Agree with OP. First of all, not only is EVERYONE is fixed by CC, basically everyone has CC. Not a valid argument.

Is the guy going 0/200/0 becoming a huge problem? CC'll fix him alright. Is the guy going 200/0/0 becoming a huge problem? CC'll put his ass in place alright! Just give him the 'ol tally ho, CC away and all your problems will be fixed. Now stop complaining old chap while Master Yi screws you in the ass.
