ARAM + Snowball = NOT ARAM

Riot, can we please take the snowball off ARAM? It's a function of a completely different mode that you, as a company, introduced; and honestly it had NO PLACE in ARAM. If we take a look at Griffball from Halo, we didn't see them adding in 1 shot kill from SWAT mode to griffball just because X amount of people preferred griffball to SWAT mode. Please make ARAM back to its normal self, it was my safe place from the assholes of 5's and 3's. It's honestly the only reason why I continue to play League of Legends. Please let ARAM back to its normal self, and if you're so inclined just add Poro King as another game mode available. I use ARAM as a safe place to practice champions because after all if someone bitches at you in ARAM the global response is literally "chill dude, it's aram". What could be safer?? Now with this literal throwing ourselves at each other I can't even get a breath in to practice any champs because people LITERALLY keep throwing themselves at the other team.

I just want a SAFE place to practice champions I'm not familiar with, and BOTS doesn't provide that because it's against a computer, not people.

Let people say what they want about this post, I don't care. I just wanted my voice to be heard, maybe it will , maybe it won't.

But please Riot if you're seeing this, please please please, for the sake of all the gods that have ever been/not been, take the goddamned snow ball summoner spell off ARAM.

Yes. Snowball sucks. Total departure from what makes ARAM ARAM. It didn't even accomplish what it was intended to do.

Mark has sucked all the fun out of ARAM.

It was cute and fun with the Poro King. But without him, it's just an zero thought way for bruisers to initiate on champs with low-no mobility on a map with already incredibly restrained area to maneuver.

Instead of dealing with the general toxicity of the average Solo Queue player, ARAM players now have to deal with the toxicity of Mark making the mode distinctly unfun.

Unless you roll a god comp with a full CC team, Mark has made it even more punishing to get mediocre-bad RNG on champ rolls.

It couldn't have anything to do with ranged poke occupying 90% of the top 30 win rate spots for over a year.

Or everybody who owns champions quitting the map because they had no way to compete with smurfs.

Yeah it was just some mysterious random change that had no premise whatsoever.

All they have to do is have aram with a significantly larger free pool of champs. they are chosen at random anwyay, so it removes the natural downside of riot having a large pool of free champs (less reason to purchase champs). A person is not going to be able to choose his champ, so he will have any given one only once here and there. It would make it harder to implement the create a smurf and buy specific champs.

Really though is it so hard to aram some tanks. I don't play malphite in summoners rift but the few times i've played aram i've had no issues with him doing real well even though i don't play him and im not the best at learning new champs or at playing the game in general. Also always loved shen on this map. And I've cleaned up with a full tank akali on this map. Where is the problem? I always fall back on building tanky when im concerned I don't know how to use someone well. Like GP, Nocturne, ect. I didn't experience die to poke.

Is the real problem the luden's echo? It has seemed to add to the poke dmg signficantly lately when I have played summoners rift. Perhaps ludens needs removed from aram as the solution, or just modify the dmg.

Poro King was the best thing that ever happened to this map, since it leveled the playing field between range and melee in sledgehammer fashion. Rolling Ashe was no longer a free win, you had to play well and be smart, not just rush tear and spam Qs... kind of like in the other maps.

The only problem with it was the King himself made initiating completely risk free, which broke any semblance of balance it could have had.

Now ARAM is perfect. Oh... if you actually own champs, that is. lol

I think the only champs I don't own are Skarner.....Yorick....maybe Shen? I forget. I own the rest, and I think this change is incredibly dumb.

If this spell isn't removed, I have to quit ARAM. It makes the game ridiculous, my ADCs are useless in team fight.

Oh no! Champs that don't have long range are viable in ARAM and can get to the back line more easily!

There is a difference between making melee characters viable, and making them over the top. Champs that come to the mind immediately are Jarvan, Tryndamere, Poppy, Fizz, Garen, Darius, Xin, Wukong (in particular with his ult). According to the Devs (I say this because we don't all agree with them), the characters are balanced with their existing kit. This snowball (no pun intended) mechanic throws off those kits, and either over buffs, or completely nerfs existing characters mechanics / abilities.

Most of the 'soft' characters have some form of soft CC to help them do their job, be it snares, knock backs, stuns, etc. The melees / bruisers tend to have dashes, short teleports, pulls to compensate. With this new Mark mechanic, the bruisers all have an additional closer, with MUCH longer range, yet the soft chars have no way in return to help get distance or pull back.

The new aram all i see most of the time is people going for support or tank / bruiser.

The snowball idea is fun, but it needs to be adjusted. Its range is too long, and its cooldown is ENTIRELY too short (I believe its something like every 9 seconds if you hit and dash both). As it stands now, I keep seeing more and more pple that i know leaving the map or taking a break from the game from a bit hoping for change, and that I hate to see. Aram is my favorite map (I have all of the champs, its fun learning how to work with each of their different approaches in the game without worrying about some yahoo screaming about 'ruining his win / loss on a Rift map), and I enjoy it, even with the occasional 'lottery' draw of chars or the premade account teams that are uncommon but out there.

I like the idea listed above. Revert Aram to no snowballs, and put in another with it, or Poro King, whichever. Gives the players their options and makes everyone happy.

Riot remove the Mark summoner spell, unless you're intent is to relegate ARAM to the troll demographic and subsequently remove ARAM itself. I was an avid of fan of ARAM, learning many of the champion mechanics and synergies within different champion combos. As of now though....ARAM is a No-Go Zone. All champ roles and balancing out the window, nothing to do with random, just broken.

That's mostly how I feel. ARAM no longer feels like ARAM. I truly enjoyed Legend of the Poro King, and have even enjoyed 5.8 ARAM so far, albeit to a lesser degree than traditional ARAM. I think Mark/Dash could be kept without completely reshaping the game mode, but it will be difficult, seeing as it was designed just for that purpose. Perhaps with a CD extension or a commitment to dash after hitting the mark could balance it out, but I would really rather see it removed.

Snowballs in aram is the dumbest thing. It takes away any escape from a squishy champ. I like to play and play aram but when I played it takes away any strategy (if there is any in aram) away. Just throw snowball hit someone jump to them and then ult. I won't be playing aram until it is taken out. Who ever put it in should be fired...

I used to love ARAM. I also loved the Poro King mode with snowballs (now "Mark")....as a once in a while fun little niche mode. ARAM is an utter joke with Mark being added, and, to be honest, no longer fun.

Riot, please remove Mark and restore ARAM to its proper self!

aram is and always will be my home, fave mode ever <3 though.. i cant lie.. with the mark/dash sumspell.. its really hard to enjoy it :( i still play aram, its still fun. not as fun as it was last week though before the new spell.... riot i dont ask much, but if you see this post and hear our cries, please remove it. or maybe move it to another mode where it might become more appreciated. ty <3

As a person that only plays this game for ARAM, I would much much appreciate the removal of this snowball, it breaks the game, champions that aren't good, now work, and not champions that are op, are unstoppable, there is no going back to heal, champions can engage at will, the game type is completely broken, the game has no reprieve, the ability to even have a chance from coming back from a down game, cant because of these snowballs, get rid of the BS and return it to the way it was.
