How can we help Summoners stuck in a 4v5 ?

Hello Riot! I like many summoners am enjoying climbing the familiar yet new ranked ladder, but unfortunately their is a plague of leavers ruining this experience for many of us! After suffering from a loss due to a leaver in my placement games and then again in my promos and then again as i climb up the ladder, i started to think about this issue in the game, that many of us have been dealing with for a long time. When a summoner leaves the game his team mates are stuck in a 4v5, this leaves them in an almost definite disadvantage and lets be honest a shitty unfair situation. This is without a doubt the WORST EXPERIENCE you will have playing League of Legends, and one we are all unfortunately familiar with. What a disheartening way to lose promos or to be placed low after placement, when you get repeatedly stuck in 4v5s lets be honest.. makes you not want to play this game. So how do we change this ? How can we make Ranked LEague of Legends a more Fun and Fair experience for all? 1 way is to punish those leavers.... which could potential be even more unfair, for the leaver could have experienced a dc, power outage, computer malfunction... etc I suggest a new que to help level the playing field and give Summoners across the Rift a more fun fair way to play ranked!! Introducing the Salvage Que, Salvage que would solo que a summoner to replace a ranked leaver, after the leaver is disconnected from the game from a specific amount of time (maybe 3 min... idk) they would be replaced with the new summoner from the salvage que. The new summoner would directly replace the old, on the same champion same lvl same score same items. Once your salvage que pops u would enter a team builder style display, it would show you your champion you select your masteries and runes and then after 30 sec enter loading screen and eventually the game. Salvage que would not affect a players ranked LP/Division and would help teach players how to come back and play safe in a losing situation! Extra IP a summoner icon or other forms of rewards would be a great way to encourage summoners to use Salvage que and help out your fellow summoners stuck in a 4v5 ( a shitty situation). PLZ RIOT ! Make ranked games a more Fun Fair experience for Summoners across the Rift !! TY For reading my ideas and i would love to hear others opinions and feedback!!

After more thought, thanks to (a Summoner on the Rift) pointing out a critical flaw in the Salvage Que ("Most likely trolls will use this que and not give 2 shits if they win or lose."), I think Salvage Que could not only help make League of Legends ranked games a more FUN and FAIR experience!! But ALSO be another way to encourage and reward Summoners with good behavior by only allowing players who have earned Santa Baron or other notable forms of good sportsmanship / player conduct to use the Salvage Que. AS well as only receiving large amounts of IP/ other rewards from successful salvage games, or in other words a Victory!!!

I'd really honestly enjoy any new system. I've been stuck in bot games because my laptop fried and I'm on a super old rig that crashes every now and then, but "leaving" bot matches still gives me a punishment. Any new system would work.

I would rather have an AFK, than someone who joins mid game, trolling and feeding because it doesn't affect their rank...

Interesting idea, I think it would work give the right community. I don't think this community is perfect for it, but if it were to be release, put those summoners on a tight leash. If you join a game up and troll, and are subsequently reported (say 3 games or so), you are banned from that queue for a number of weeks. That should help with the filtering of trolls.

Another idea that came to mind as I was typing this up, (which I think is an even longer shot), is the option of having the 5 player team temporarily sit someone out. Stress the OPTIONAL part of that, if they are good sports, maybe the support or top lane volunteers to sit out, and if that other player reconnects, they are back in. The first of many problems i see there is that person goes AFK, the other player reconnects, then you have a 5v4 the other way around. Anyways, just an idea.

This is an amazing idea! Some things I feel could improve this system is the ability "reroll" the champion you get in the salvage que(up to 2 times maybe?) just in case you're not comfortable playing with the champion or the role. While it's not an important game to you and It's an opportunity to try new things, I feel like it will benefit the team much more if you get a role/champion you're comfortable with. Also the games that you have an ability to join in salvage que should be around your mmr/division(you don't want a bronze player helping a diamond team lol). But this also can be a problem since we don't know how many games are 4v5 and how many of those are in each division. Other than that, I feel like it would be a great addition to the game but there needs to be a lot of planning to do from Riot to eliminate trolls from the system. If its ever approved, I will definitely be part of it (shorter games+bonus ip if you win sounds awesome) :D

I Agree completely RIOT needs to so something for 4v5 i just started a ranked game my team got the first 2 kills early games was fine but when it got to the team fights 4v5 made me just want to strait up leave the game and never play again we ended us surrendering and i felt like shit after losing 18 LP for a game that I could never win 4v5
