ARAM: unlock all champs

It should be truly random and have all the champions unlocked. But, you say, "oh no, not this junk again".

So, then I ask, you expect people to buy champs and "test" them out for a mode that champs dont get tailored too? And, theres a good chance that champ is gonna suck. That's a total crock of crap. The map and mode is fun, but Riots idea of "random" is a laugh at best.

Right now its like playing a slot machine and you see too many of the same champs due to smaller pools to pick from. It's high percent you see all "cherries" or all "777"s versus junk.

Though, id just prefer another map or mode to replace this awful setup.

Well I'd like it to have: All champions unlocked. (solves problem of ARAM-accounts) No rerolls. No trades. You dodge? You get the same champion next time.

I like the last three because they'd force players to play what they get because I'd like that.

No I mean to say that the reason why I have the last three reasons too is that it'd force players to play the champion they get. First I give a summary what I want to see, including all champions unlocked because of fixing the issue with ARAM accounts, then I give the other reasons which are included in the summary. It's not that hard to read... Sorry to say this but come on dude.

It's been brought up before, but the dodge-and-get-the-same-champion thing becomes an issue when used not to dodge games, but to create a super team. Or if two players going into an ARAM have dodged with Garen, so they both have to play Garen this game.

they could make the champions that go in que with him have the same champions as last time and also account for players with the same champion and just not que them together. Also doding to make a super team without my forementioned idea probably wouldn't happen to often.. Or riot could account for how strong certain team combos are and match them agaisnt other teams with a 50/50 chance for winning. In fact riot could make the que only matches champ comps that go from 48-52 percent win rate against eachother or so.

i completely agree, todays Aram is a gamemode where only pokecomps seem to exist and ""random" means apparently that 30 of 120Champs appear in 90% of the games...there´s literally more diversity in SR than there is in Aram. It´s ridiculous aswell as utterly frustrating.

If people don´t want to play a Random Champion they should not play All Mid All Random...easy as that.

Rerolling and trading is fine. That's a not a huge issue, as it's just as much of a lottery as the initial roll.

I don't know how many people are like me. I don't have an ARAM only account but my champion list is small. I play mostly Dominion and on weekends ARAM I really dislike to play a champion I'm not interested (that comes from the free rotation) because I usually ruin the whole game. That's why this idea is not good at all.

Same here and I basically only play ARAM at this point. It's shitty that we see ARAM accounts but Riot won't change it. We're lucky to have a match-making ARAM in the first place considering Riot's love for Summoner's Rift.

Demonstrably not true because of the specific map and item balancing that happens in ARAM. Items are changed, auras are changed, and I believe a few abilities are changed.

Pretty sure I've read before that they have no intention of doing champion specific balances for ARAM despite adding that functionality for map specific balance.

They added Winter's Orb (or whatever it's called) and Guardian's Horn (again, that might not be the exact name lol) as ARAM-only items, replaced Bloodthirster with Sanguine Blade, removed Warmog's and jungle items (which sucks cause the golem/lizard ones were great) and all wards and ward items, Lightbringer and Sweeper are enabled, and there's a global mana regen aura and heal reduction. There is no map specific champion balance though.

No abilities are changed for ARAM and virtually all the item changes that have happened are all from Twisted Treeline "experiments"

That's not the main problem with this mode. The main issue is that people dodge games when they are on a champion that they can't play. I have seen it happen to many times. The whole point of random is just bullshit.

I see a lot of people yelling down with rerolls too....honestly, I think they should revamp the reroll system all together. Top change I would like to see is it tell you what you will reroll into after you've used the reroll. For example, say you get Ashe but really, really, hate playing her. So you hit reroll. It shows you that if you go through with said reroll you will get Malphite. Well, you hate Malphite even more than Ashe. So you elect to stay with Ashe and it uses up that reroll. Also, no chat usage during the selection time...so no trying to work with your team to make the SUPER TEAM OF DEATH.

The only problem with skipping the lobby is that you can't choose runes or masteries so you would at least need to know your champion, and it could be if you dodge you get that champion again so no reason to dodge. I would be ok with that.

You see your champion, you get 30 seconds to do runes/masteries/rerolls and you get chucked into a game.

Maybe they should add a ban mode b4 the random selection? like this you can choose to ban the ones you dont want to see in game be because they are too OP or because they are unable to do anything all game.

this would only fight some symptoms, but not the cause...and it would probably make the gamemode only less random. The priority should be on making Aram about playing a truly random-champ...there´s not much point in calling it ARAM in the first place otherwise.

Yes.

Full unlock to counter smurfs, and MMR penalty for dodging to prevent RNG scumming from being an elo boost.

Also it's just more fun that way. Variety is what keeps things fun. We need variety among games.

I disagree with you to take out "all random" from the abyss it's what makes aram well aram and frankly if people get to pick there champs it would be TTL hexakill all over again always see a ziggs an Oriana yasuo wombo combo etc etc and frankly that would just be annoying and nobody would play aram for what it is a A BLOOD BATH ON A FRIGGIN BRIDGE :D

It's still randomly chosen. It's just the current way is rigged because it's only random within your pool of champions (more OP champs = more odds of OP). By having random from ALL champions (unlocked or not) it's equal chance for everyone.

Edit: then what happens when people get a chappy champ then leave and you get your main champ or someone that is boss in aram "cough ziggs cough" then you come back and get let's say Elise ? No offense to anyone seen some pretty good elise
