Since Skarner is No Longer from the Crystal Scar...

Why is the Dominion map still "Kalamanda" aka the Crystal Scar? He was the only champion tying it to his lore (other than the added lore from season 1 between Demacia and Noxus). It's confusing as this has happened to another champion already, Maokai, who had his lore changes multiple times to make him from a side effect of magic in the Twisted Treeline to the embodiment of the last bit of untainted life force of nature from the Shadow Isles. Though Skarner was given one of the most rushed lores I have ever seen when he was turned into a Shurima champion (which confuses me as to why he still talks about the Crystal Scar in his audio if he no longer has any connections to that location), he guards a cave....that's it. But getting back on track, I am just curious since Riot did make a Shurima version for "Ascension" but didn't seem to use that as a jumping off point. Riot seems to love flushing out the large factions of Runtara, giving some of the more exotic factions their own maps (Shadow Isles - Twisted Treeline and Freljord - Howling Abyss), both where released when the respective faction went through an overhaul, new lore for older champs and some champs having lore changed to add them to the faction. Yet Shurima was given the short end of the stick as they only received an event game mode.
