Thoughts on what this is? It's definitely new and I'm stumped as to what it could be.

Seems like a gate of some kind. Probably a teaser for next champ. Or my real hope a teaser for a new ranked 5's map.

If they make a new map I will be so happy. They could make one that's in Shurima with the terrain changing because of shifting dunes. All the new Guardian of the Sand Skins make me think something is happening with Shurima
Well the wall painting-thingy tells of a war between two great factions remembered only as the Protectorate and the Magelords, or so I assume (The two factions are mentioned in Aatrox' lore and it makes some sense that the oldest war in Valoran, or at least one of the oldest, is represented through the aesthetics of Summoner's Rift).
