So... Pentakill is no longer Pentakill.

Apart from Kayle being the one getting the skin, and the problems with that, the biggest one is that Pentakill can no longer be the name of the band. It doesn't make any form of sense for a band of 6 to have a name that would suggest it being a 5 man band. The only way this can be fixed would be having one of the pentakill skins being removed from a champion, and the only candidate would be Sona as she's mute, and doesn't fit the theme much. Yorick needs his skin because it's one of his only skins, Karthus is the lead singer, and Morde made the band. Olaf could also be removed, but he's the best character for a drummer role. Add to this the fact that Pentakill's lore actually points out that they needed 5 members before they got Olaf, and it seems wrong lorewise for them to add a sixth member.(Also I'm salty about having to spend more money to keep the set completely purely because Riot decided the 5 member skin set HAD to have sixth member for some odd reason.)

Now, the problems with Kayle getting the skin. 1: She doesn't fit the theme of the band itself. Out of the original 5, Sona also doesn't fit, but she's a musician so I'll give her a pass. Olaf is a warrior who wants to die in battle(and he can't, thus he's immortal kinda), Morde is heavy metal incarnate, Karthus wants people to experience the joy of undeath/death, and Yorick uses the dead bodies of the fallen in his army. Kayle is an angel.... not even a fallen one like Morgana. The excuse of needing a female vocalist could have been solved with the Maiden of the Mists, Karthus pulling the voices of the dead for the vocals, or replacing Sona with someone like Kalista, Elise, Eve, Morgana, any of the dead or dark female champions to fit the theme. Hell, Illaoi makes more sense because at least she could use the excuse of using metal to make people MOVE.

TL;DR I'm salty because 1:We are getting a 6th skin for a completed set of 5, 2: I'm going to have to spend money on it because I love pentakill, and 3: Out of champions who could've fit the theme or had an excuse like Illaoi, we got an Angel.

Edit: Just to clarify, I'm not saying the Skin is bad. It actually looks really good. But, it would have been better if it was part of a new band set, rather than a pre existing band that has been established since the release of Yorick.

No, it means it's still Pentakill. Just for special occasions and one-offs, it will be Hexakill.

So it works.

And no, you can't just remove band members purely because you think they don't fit the look or something. You're not some mega music cooperation who pulls that shit all the time. If you love music, given that you love Pentakill as claimed so you must do, you wouldn't have considered something like that really.

Not that this will make you feel better, but I'm sure they felt the need to add a female vocalist because they used one on at least one of the new tracks (Tear of the Goddess).

And that DOES make me feel better, because that track is sick.

You do realize that a band doesn't have to change their name whenever they add a new member right? Even if their name is numerical to their members?

5 finger death punch won't suddenly change their name to 6 finger death punch if they got a new member (which they wouldn't get anyway).

Well i was read some comments about that. Everyone have it's own right. It's only about your own feelings how they fit in the setup.

But I feel that too Kayle wasn't the right choice. That guest vocalist lore could be valid, so they musn't change the band's name. Even with that maybe morgana realy would be a much better choice, or if we want to stay at the original undead content, then Kalista would be the best.

I think Riot Games not realy thinking about so much the lore or the concept. I feel like they only want the most played characters to gain expensive skins, cause much people will buy it. Kayle got the rework, so she was in the spotlight, and that's why she got the new pentakill skin and guest vocaling concept, but Riot should do this two apart from each other, not in one time together. Like they where lazy to make these new content and it is sad.

Sorry for my bad english!

Sum.: I think Riot just want money, so they do all of this in one project and didn't want to spend more time to make the two things, cause it would require more time. Now they could make the TFT, what's realy bugy and they still enabled ranked in that in Beta... So many mistakes.

But it's only my point of view.

We don't need to literally remove band members. Pentakill isn't soley because theirs 5 members. Plus it can be Hexakill.

In the lore im pretty sure that Sona left to become a DJ thats why Kayles the new member

Band B, maybe. Or it could be a predecessor or a successor. Morde, karthus, and Yorick may be immortal, but sona and olaf sure aren't,

My beef is that Kayle was chosen. She is a champ in concept one of the furthest from Metal, and already has some very nice skins. That love and attention given to her should have gone to another.

A Black Metal inspired Diana A Viking Metal Lisandra Industrial influenced Orianna Hell, you could keep a lot of the base skin and slap it on Riven. I would almost even be OK with a (suppressing the vomit) Babymetal style Annie.

What's next in massively clashing themes, a Star Guardian Illaoi? Masked Tuxedo Gragas?
