What's the Runic War?
I would like to know more about that.

It was a war between the humans and some weird monster species that had magic. The humans were getting beat until the humans discovered runic magic. This was the birth of all magic in Runterra and they used this to beat the monsters.
At least that is what I know about it. It's vary vague and really hard to find any information on it, not to mention the it is most likely not even canon anymore.
