I would like to know id the old lore idea with summernes is completly scraped

i really liked the old concept with the summerners well i like the new lore for sure but is it completly scrapped like Sona still says only you can hear me summerner i would like to see a explanation for summerners rift meybe not cannon from the new lore but could you hold the old lore separet meybe?? idk think it could be interesting. (btw sorry for the gramma)
