Is Darius a Protectorate descendant? or Perhaps has the Darkin Gene? (Darkin Related)

Hello my name is Hipuru (A.K.A Vampuru) and I started playing League of Legends in August 2015. I am a super lore nerd when it comes to this game because I find the mystery and finding out more about Runterra is so interesting and fun as I always imagine how I would live in that world. For awhile now I've always wanted to know more about the Darkin Race since they are the most mysterious yet seemingly most influential to Runeterra's history so my keen interest in Runeterra will usually always point towards what the Darkin are even though I know most if not all of the story of most champs and Countries. So with that I feel that I must interject what I have concluded throughout trying to figure out what the Darkin are and I noticed ever since Kayn's reveal that I am coming closer to that answer so I want to sincerely thank you, Riot. Starting off, I noticed ever since Kayn has had his voice samples released he has a special one with Darius where Kayn exclaims "I will enjoy this, Darius". A very interesting remark to such an unlikely champion, is what I assumed. That is until I read Kayn's bio and story and realized that Darius of all champs was in the following other bios listed below Kayn's along with Aatrox's (as expected) and Zed's (as expected). Reading through Kayn's bio and story it became evident to me that Kayn is in fact born and somewhat raised from Noxus originally. at reading this I became more aware of Darius's possible relation with Kayn although it was not stated in the bio or story. A quick mention before I go onto why I have such an interesting statement regarding Darius and his seemingly abnormal fearless strength. I, for a very long time now have been a Darius "main" meaning I have played the champion many times not only due to his past strength in competitive but primarily because of his incredibly spot on yet simple thematic of being "the fearless Warrior" type champion. You could say for a time I was obsessed with Darius because I felt he personified everything I personally valued in a champion, Tankiness, Sustain, stronger dueling potential, etc. Though one thing that stood out to me over everything else is his ultimate ability, "Noxian Guillotine". I absolutely loved the simplicity yet over satisfying feeling of cleaving through my enemy for the kill. I found it more appealing that his potential in team fights could be realized because of how he could, after getting five stacks of his passive or killing with his ultimate continue to keep smashing his enemies with a seemingly abnormal sense of ferocity and rage. Again I was so obsessed with him at the time that I realized his old classic splash art had not been updated. His old splash had such an outdated feel to it compared with many of the newer skins and champion splash updates. And almost as if Riot read my mind they gave him a classic splash update over his brother Draven which I did find odd but paid it no mind since I had no real interest in Draven. As excited as I was to view this splash update everything I imagined my favorite champion to be was realized in this one splash update. With his fierce snarl as he seemingly executes his Q ability wiping out surrounding foes. The improved detail to his unrealistic biceps made me imagine how truly strong this champion was wielding such a weapon. The splash update had such an impact on me it made me love the champion Darius all that much more. Then as I gazed at his updated and excellently detailed new face I realized something very interesting in that the iris color of Darius' eyes had a blood red tint to them. Of course at first I just appreciated how much detail the update gave this champion making everything he is in a fearless and battle hardened trope was realized so I had just assumed though it was interesting that his eyes fiercely red was just to further exemplify his enraging demeanor. That is until I read Kayn's story and came up with an intriguing conclusion based not only on Kayn's story but also on the possible decedents of the Protectorates from the acient times of Runeterra where it seemed Aatrox had placed a fierce and insatiable desire for battle in them before he vanished from the world. From the time I had read Aatrox's tale I had always wondered who the decendents of these Protectorates may be in the game now. I thought maybe it was many of the Noxians due to their quest for domination, I assumed maybe it was Demacia due to their hatred of Magic. Fact of the matter is that that question has never been answered quite as clear to me so I always just left it in the air to maybe eventually find out who it is. But to put things to perspective I feel that Darius' eye color can't just be coincidence. I feel like his eye color is the by product of something telling us that he is something a little more than just your ordinary "fierce warrior". An explanation is not really needed but discussion is welcomed. If my conclusion proves to be wrong I wont think Darius as anything less and I will always love him haha. Though how amazing it would be if he did have some sort of relation to the Darkin race or perhaps Protectorates.
