I sincerely hate Ekko because of bad lore.
Smug teen condescendingly observes how everyone else wastes their time/life while he is in possession of an infinite do-over machine.
Ekko you hypocrite. Seriously F that guy.

I disagree just a bit. sure theres the undo button part of ekko, but theres the also the part where he refuses to go to a piltover academy or of the like because he wants to prove himself as a zaunite, not some piltie. Hes taking the hard road instead of the easy way out. Kid is smart and can go really far if he just left zaun for piltover but he refuses.

He just might not be your cup of tea, for me personally what got me into Ekko in the 1st place was his lore. Hech my favorite quote ever comes from his vid "if you can't make the most out of any gven moment, then you don't deserve a single extra second"
I wouldn't say it's a case of bad lore, but just a personal dislike for the character - which is totally fine. Not every character is going to appeal to everyone, and while some people might like Ekko for his brash smugness, some aren't.
Lets not forget they make him seem stronger than ziliean since he can control his time warping.
Ziliean was in the time game a lot longer but has all those sad side effects, a minor irritation.
Except every time he resets, he still ages. A single 10 second fight could age him a minute if it takes 6 resets to figure it out.
My only problem with Ekko is that he doesn't seem to have much prior knowledge to make said time machine (it in fact was an accident).
He basically found a way to screw over reality with a box of scraps (and a crystal).
