You never realise what you have until you lose it
So today I felt like playing normals with friends and gathered a group of friends . We go into a lobby set up our roles ya know the usual stuff and then as we queue we get this pop up about low priority queue . Our bot laner said that it was from him duo to his pc malfunctioning a game prior to ours . So we decided to wait out the 20 minutes like men . 20 minutes pass and we get into a lobby and follow the process of banning champions . After the ban phase I noticed that the enemy team picked the champion I prepicked so I decided to counterpick it to be safe but I thought what would work against Darius and Vladimir came to head . As I was typing Vladimir I noticed he was banned and at the time I had around 3 seconds left to pick and panicked . I deleted everything in the search bar and started looking for a viable top laner against Darius . Bam I see Maokai in an attempt to click him and lock in I ended up clicking on a completely different type of champ and didn't even lock in duo to my panic . Next thing I realise I am back into the lobby and everyone is freaking out . We have to wait more time for a game but this time we were more meh about it . Then our low priority friend decided to switch to his other account thinking he had no low priority queue on that one . Boy was he wrong the account had low priority queue just like his main so we had to wait another 20 minutes . So its roughly an hour and we are just sitting there asking ourselfs how to tie a noose duo to the factor that we are stuck waiting for almost an hour for a game of league [zombie-brand-mindblown] and so the second low priority queue passes and we finally get into a match . Haleluja ladies and gentlemen we got into a game of league (and we won aswell :P) . Afterwards me and 1 more dude from our group took a moment to think about what happened in the past 2 hours we've been ''playing'' league and realised that we shouldn't take everything for granted . Nowadays you just get into league pick your roles and wait 2 to 5 minutes but back in the old days queues would sometimes be longer than 10 minutes depending on what role you wanted and what rank you were (now don't go telling me in diamond+ queues take 20+ minutes to find I know that but I am a low elo scrub so shhh) . So yea thats my long ass story . Dunno why I decided to share it and I am not going to even bother making it presentable because its almost midnight and I am tired so I wish you all a good night .
P.S. Holy cow Fiora hits like a truck even while being a tank with grevious wounds and a bunch of armor she still made minced meat out of me
