Malzahar Passive Covers Skin Colors

Malzahar's purple passive (spell shield) visually covers up the colors of the skin you've selected. I purchased 'Shadow Prince Malzahar' for its yellow theme but was disappointed to see that the passive spell shield essentially turns him pink for half the game. This also applies to all other Malzahar skins as well (with the exception of 'Snow Day Malzahar')

I petition to have Malzahar's passive spell shield as more transparent to show off the colors of the skin that you've selected.

Particularly at 1:30, you can see the shadow prince malzahar skin's stark color difference when the passive is up.

You could also say "Malzahar's rework was a failure regarding the whole champion". That would be equally accurate.

Or how about making the shield have a yellow tint to it with the spell shield?

Lol at 1:30 it even looks like he's not purple due to Passive shield covering him but that he literally has texture changed to purple tone.

Hey folks!

Sorry to necro this thread, but I wanted to pop in and let you know that we're going to be removing the purple overlay for the skins, so you'll actually be able to see the skin underneath! The purple (base) shield will still remain across all skins. We're hoping to have this in for 7.15!

on the flip side it makes it reaaly easy to know when ur passive is up lol but for real ive hated it since th rework as well cant see ur skin for half the game

Ohhhhhh. My friend has that skin and we were so confused as to why his splash was yellow but the skin purple/pink.

Shadow Prince Malzahar has never had changes to the particles. It's a release skin, from ye olden days, when most release skins were not particle changes, but just a "change of outfit."

Oh yeah Ive had the shadow prince one on a smurf for ages, I went to play on it one day and thought I had forgot to equip a skin. It looks like... no different now. Very lame.
